Too late for a new queen?

Thank you. I've checked today and no Queen cells. I've now combined the two hives and I will check in few days. Hopefully everything is going to be OK. Thank you very much for all your precious advice! Marco.

Too late for a new queen?

How to combine hives? Could you please tell me what is the best procedure in order to combine two hives. One is the queen less I was talking about, the other is a feisty colony from a friend. One brood box on top of the other with a sheet of magazine paper between the two? is it the right...

Too late for a new queen?

Hello Hi everyone. I'm sure they are queenless because I haven't seen eggs for more then a month now. Fortunately a friend of mine is giving me a feisty colony with a queen. She doesn't want it anymore because they are aggressive. I'm planning to put them together and have a stronger colony...

Too late for a new queen?

Hi everyone, One of my four hives has been queenless for about three weeks now, maybe more. I've moved some frames with new eggs from another hive hoping they are going to make a new queen. Is it too late for this procedure or I can still hope for the best? Thank you. Marco.

    Best procedure to relocate hives.

Thank you. I've got another couple of questions. First, how long do you have to wait before they settle and you can re-open the hive at the new destination? Second, can I move a hive where I've got a new queen? I mean a queen that maybe has not mated yet. Thank you.

    Queenless Hive.

Not sure anymore. My little knowledge says to me that if they have swarmed they must have left a queen in the hive. Is it a true statement? Thanks.

    Queenless Hive.

Too mnay. They have left for good. I've got the feeling I might have left too many EQC's in the hive. Sounds stupid but this is like an eureka moment for me. I just thought one would kill all the others. Ops....

    Queenless Hive.

Went for it. Two hives, 2 gallons and a bit. Quite happy. Unfortunately I've lost count of how many times one of the hives is swarming. One Thursday, one yesterday. Obviously is not queenless anymore but it's there something wrong with them or me? Probably me. I know I'm a beginner but I'm...

Extracting Honey. Would it be OK to extract honey from these hives without touching the brood box? Thank you.

    Queenless Hive.

Very aggressive. Today I just went near one of my "maybe still queenless hive" and the really tried to kill me. It has always been a very aggressive hive but this time they really went for it. Yesterday there were lots of bees walking around at the front of the hive and at some point they went...
