    Occupation Engineer Rose through the ranks,became factory manager for Ten Years, High-dived off the corporate ladder 2007 now back as an Engineer (Electrician) at a world famous biscuit factory. Yes you do get sick and tired of seeing Chocolate!

    as my previous post I had the same problem last year in my garden stone wall, tried for weeks to kill the little b******s, couldnt get rid of them all, couldn't dismantle the wall,wouldn't risk chemicals, powders etc in case they went into my hives, maybe a little bit drastic but in desperation...

    I have done a Hive check this morning, on one of my hives that swarmed in May , i check my hives regularly but to be quite honest rarely check supers, i just take them off and check the brood box and then replace them i was very suprised to find Eggs and larva at all stages in the second super...

    Lots of Dead Bees?? Anyone Help?

    Don't be too hard on youself, we all make mistakes (Not everyone admits to it) I put a "Miller type" feeder on one of my hives,when i was a newbee, forgot to replace the glass strip, result two days later hundreds of drowned bees, i will never do it again lesson learned

    As a relatively new Beek ( 5 Years) I took a decision last Summer , after a Winter of 60% losses to leave 1 out of my 3 Hives as nature intended ie I didn't take any Honey in the Autumn, i didn't feed them all season I didn't do the checks for swarming nor did i disturb them every week to check...
