    Vaping newbie

I normally for as long at least the last 13 years only sublimated once - after Xmas. But for some weird reason have done it twice since Xmas to check the difference in dead mite load and found ................................................................................NOWT. If you really...

    NHS - Poor Cost Control

Glad to hear it and sorry old mate that you must have had a medical problem to be' awarded' the honour of poo sticks? Anything I need to look out for? I am merely bloody ancient with nothing much that is untoward atm and almost looking forward to get off this declining globe before we all fry.

What caused my colonies to fail?

Let common sense prevail here. When one only has a couple or so hives the Varrox is enough without all the extra gear you think you might need for the gas vap or whatever. I used the Varrox when I had 6 hives without all that fussy gear without a single accidental inhalation. Battery might need...

What caused my colonies to fail?

:iagree: :iagree: :iagree: Because I can't find any skips with offcuts of Celotex/Kingspan going begging, I merely block the CB holes with spare bits of glass out of an old greenhouse cut down to about 10" x 8". Does the job and the bees couldn't care less. :D:D It's better that than using the...

What caused my colonies to fail?

Never, ever have had a problem with duct tape. Have always had a couple of rolls so personally would not waste money on yet more pointless stuff. No offence intended. :)

What caused my colonies to fail?

Strips of duct tape cover the gaps in insulation board quite well enough. As for the rest, I think you have done very well for a beginner. The only thing that I think you missed out on is that captured swarms will almost certainly be carrying varroa and that is what has to be dealt with at the...

Bought a trap several years ago but the little sods were too smart so got rid. Can't stand useless junk!!

What did you do in the Apiary today?

Wish my cat would do something about the hundreds of the buggers that seem to exist in the 3 1/2 acres of untended woodland behind my house. Owner next door nothing about them and I can't handle lead poison. Rotten shot try as I might.
