    What did you do in the Apiary today?

    Replaced the plastic corrugated sheeting, no longer see through, on my bee shed, with double glazed windows. Still have air gaps, some bigger than others, that need filling in.

    The food waste container the council supply for indoors, just the right size. I leave mine in the apiary, so it doesn’t need to be water tight for travel. I use a milk container to carry the new mix to it.

    We always have a good mix of people from across the world at the zoom lectures. Have you ever stayed for the chat afterwards? There’s opinions from the across all the States, Europe, and the UK all mixed in together about all sorts of subjects.

    Rodent damage

    I had this happen, but knowing they pee wherever, I decided I wouldn't want to eat the honey from the frames, so destroyed the frames. Taught me to make sure they were out of reach of rodents in the future!

    Agree, I think I’ll stick to the extra supers, and only have to clean the extractor once! Not to mention pull it in and out of the kitchen each time.

    They do indeed produce a decent cheddar in Cheddar. it is in the tourist area, but it is still proper cheddar.

    Elainemary, this frame? I asked another judge as I didn‘t agree with the braula diagnosis, and he agreed with me. I think it’s been frozen.

    I use recipes from the attached, and have made the Basic, Blackberry and Modern very successfully. The blackberry is very good. I also tried organise using fruit juice, very dry, and rose hip, which was more like a medium dry. It might have some cyser recipes, I’ll have a look when I get home.
