I ordered a pile of supers a couple of years ago from Abelo and Damien forgot to put the poly inserts in..i phoned him and he could not apologize enough..they came the next day special delivery..the customer service was second to none.

Unsure if the OSR flow has has any sugar in which i doubt as feeding is finished at the the end of Autumn which contains thymol..up to date none of my spring honey has a thymol aroma..come the second flow it is 100% guaranteed pure nectar x honey..that is unless someone is open feeding sugar in...

When do winter bees stop being made so to speak..sorry for the daft question but my head is stirring..not been out all day through being ill food poisoning or a man bug..who knows..not good with a 7mth old pup wrecking the place..

The Apple and Pear is brutal which most of what i do is Apple + Pear definitely need to take your time with it..it tastes that nice you get a wobble on before you know it..:D

Bramble/Blackberry.. it was a bit tart to start with but after giving it a good old shake to degas it it turned out nice a couple of weeks later...not too strong either..around 12%..

With this carp weather I decided to make another three single hive stands and three open mesh floors with tunnel entrances and for sale sign inspection boards...all the wood is free off cuts from a joiner friend. I have found you can never have too many hive stands in the apiary..to me they are...

Get a piece of wire and bend a hook on the end of it..poke it through the entrance and see if you rake any smelly dead bees out..if you don't it is not dead bees on the floor.

So complicated but so very easy..just saying..tad owld however..

Warm and windy and the bees outside where flying so i took the small colony outside..10 minutes later it was lashing down so back into the garage they went..

When the flow is on i have eight colonies in the same place..it is rich land in a conservation area..the bees have endless willow/wild cherry/blackthorn/OSR etc for spring flow..and when the summer flow starts the bees have all the cover crops which contain lots of Phacilia and the farmers in...

Why..?..
