A good point RAB. I intend to recommend they are requeened next year anyway, at least everybody is happy they have their beehives. All part of the learning curve I guess.

Whats wrong with leaving a frame outside ? Makes a lot more room to avoid squishing bees.

There was a guy over here killed by a sting from a hornet last year. He had been stung the year before as well and I was told that makes the second sting more potentially dangerous.
