    syrup gone mouldy in ****** nuc!!

    Hi guys, I have a ****** nuc and filled up the feding compartment with 1:1 syrup last week. on inspection today, the is a inch or 2 of moudy syrup left in the bottom of the compartment. any ideas what i should do? I would like to clean it out but how when the nucs full of bees

    queen not looking too good!!

    Looks like I've messed up then. Only option now is to remove failing queen and merge a further swarm with the still queenless colony. I would rather give them a laying queen, don't really want to give them a frame if brood for them to rear emergency queen cells. Always been told emergency queen...

    I put put over 345g in each jar which was just over the neck of the jar but as the air is working its way out, its now looking like ive underfilled the jars. bit pants really but I was worried if i let it sit in the seltling bucket too long, i wouldnt be able to pour it off. wasnt using a honey...

    12oz jars - what should the fill wieght be

    I knew I shouldnt have asked that question lol I know they are a 12oz jar but 12oz of honey and 12oz of water have different densitys, therefore the volumes will be different. so this this not matter?? should I just put in 12oz or 340g

    Would this work for creaming honey

    i was trying to find a stainless steel version but these dont seem to say what they are made from. Only give away is 2 tone colour of the metal
