Can I use diluted bleach to sterilise old comb?

Is it too late to go from brood to brood and half

I have 10 brood frames that are fully capped. My thinking was, to get more bees to help with overwintering, I would give them an empty super and let the queen lay as much as she wants. I would then remove this super when the weather starts becoming cold to reduce the space.

Hi guys, as per the title, is it too late? My queen is laying extremely well and I'm thinking the more bees the better for the winter period

    Moving hive 300 metres

I know only too well about the 3 mile rule but this hive had to be moved before someone got hurt. Finman, I was moving the hives 300 metres regardless of what anyone said on this forum. vicious bees and allergy

I can't honest believe that I'm reading the OP post!! Allergic or not, I would not have stood there and allowed them to sting me 20 times. Once is bad enough but a person that isn't allergic that receives 20 stings is putting their life at risk.

    Moving hive 300 metres

Hi guys, I've got no choice but to move my hives further down the field as at the minute, they are being a nuisance. Both hives have virgin queens in rest for mating but the bees are not happy with fliers following me a good 100 yards away. I have been stung on my face and do has the land owner...

    Artificial swarm and queen marking

Hi guys, Just wondered if its ok to mark the queen when carrying out an artificial swarm? Not sure if it might disrupt things a little too much and lead to the queen getting balled

OSR - is it worth moving them??

Hi guys, After the terrible year we had last year with the OSR, do you think it's worth moving the bees back to the OSR this year? I'm not really fussed on OSR honey myself but I moved them there last year to help them build up fast as early as they could in the season. With the hard times the...
