Definitely not bumble bees. I have a nest of those on the other side of the house!!!! Have had my bee suit on and caught one and its a honeybee. Wounded whether setting up a baited nuc box next to hive would entice them to move????? Thanks for your comments. Roy

A bee colony has moved into a wall cavity of my house with only a 3 inch by 1 inch access. Does anybody have any advise as to how I can retrieve the bees? Is leaving them there an option? I have a spare hive so getting them would be good. Thanks. Roy

Finman, are you saying you don't use a QE ever? Don't the bees fil all the comb with honey and brood?? Or do they naturally split it allowing for honey extraction ??

Thank you. It sounds like brood and a half or double brood will for my stage be too much work. I guess I move to 10 frame 14x12s or try to manage possible swarming. My 2nd WBC is empty so rather than getting another colony for it, I wait for the probable swarm? Thanks again. Roy
