Try fly screen mesh from e- b~y. We bought some a few years ago and replaced the mesh on 2 suits. 1.2 meter x 1meter was around £5. Sorry can't remember the suppliers name but a search should find some.

You can buy fly screen mesh on #-Bay 1.2m wide and £3-£5 per meter; make a wooden frame to suit your vehicle and staple it on. The mesh is also useful for repairing or replacing damaged veils.

I think this is from the USA in the 1950's, we had never heard of it before and thought it might be of interest to some. Not sure if it was a natural occurrence or there was some "help" given to the bees.

We use homemade 2inch deep boards with 5 canadian cone escapes fitted on each. They cleared the supers on each hive after 3 hours; the majority of the bees were clustered on the underside of the clearer board. Made things much easier.
