If yours is also 250 W, you'll need a 12 V power supply that can deliver at least 20.8 A (12 * 20.8 = 250). I would go for something a little bigger (eg 300 W) so that it's not working at it's design limit.

Thanks for that, would a 12v leisure battery (70ah) with charger suffice?

The battery will drive the fan heater for about 3 hours and 20 mins. from full charge.
