Hi all - I'm looking for some advice on moving my bees.

I'm moving house from London to Bristol and want to take my (one) hive of bees with me.
They are currently in a poly national hive - as I thought this would be lighter to lift.

As the weather is cooling down now - is it necessary to use a travel screen on the top? Or just make sure its all sealed and secure and transport them just with cover board and lid? There is a mesh floor.

Thanks

I would use a travel screen and not rely on an OMF for such a long trip, especially if they will be in a van of some kind.

Definitely a travel screen with the roof off. A colony of bees under stress makes a lot of heat.
