I purchased a queen to introduce to a split but have elected allow the split to rear its own queen.

Can i make another split and use the new purchased queen in a NUC? I used the Pagden artificial swarm (cushmans method 2 where i left the queen in the moved parent colony) and want to watch the new hive and try to control a single QC to development.

Now i purchased the queen i am keen to do something with her. I have 2 more spare floors and brood boxes...

Suggestions welcomed.

Thanks...she arrives tomorrow so all ok.

So how about i pop a frame of comb, capped brood, stores and honey in a Nuc with some nurse bees? Then intro the queen via the cage?

Go for it...
Suggest make up nuc, leave an hour then add queen in cage. Leave for 2/3 days before releasing.
