You are living the dream. Are the birds just for eggs or for meat as well. We dont have moles over here. Though i am a huge fan of hedgehogs though i hear they mate for life so i wouldn't lift any to take home to the garden or is it ok under certain circumstances. Do you have all the birds in the one pen? We have used beer traps before on slugs and i used to go out late at night and skewer them then stick the skewers in the pen with the chicks and they mopped them up sharpsh
Chickens mainly for eggs, hatch chicks in incubator for fun as well as letting broody hens hatch too. Have 11 ewes and breed lambs for market. Too painful for family to eat own. Christmas trees the most profitable but have to wait 5 Year’s for return. Moles the most challenging!
