Queen Cell Conundrum

6-8 weeks ago I caught a swarm in a bait hive. I didn't notice their arrival. I left them in that box.

When I looked inside after a couple of weeks there was no brood/eggs.
I put in some brood frames and left them.

The same each time I looked over the last few weeks. No evidence of a queen. I must have killed her.

Today I was preparing to unite them with a colony but I found two frames with some drone brood (not a lot). Photo attached.
Presume workers have laid eggs.

But what's with the Queen Cell? Can it be viable?

Almost certainly QC made with unfertilsed egg. So not viable . Destroy

You also have a laying worker, multiple eggs in several cells, best to shake it out away from the apiary, take all the kit away. You should be able to salvage some of the foundation after freezing.

shake them all out a few yards from the apiary, the colony is of no use at all in that state
