Not used them myself are those bs boxes, who are the extensions from? Mind you give the poly prices now it must be cheaper to put them in a full hive

The ones in the photo will be put into single brood and I’ll use the rest of the brood frames for more nucs. Then of to the heather for them.
I’ve found 6 frame poly mating nucs to work well 70% to be mating and laying in 7-10 days .( virgin queens run in ) or dipped in honey.
First extentions going on as soon as the queen is laying .
It seems the local stock are out performing but a little aggressive and not so black .
I hope your having a good season Ian? Had a few problems with swarms but things have settled down now
