Hi all.
My bees seems to be acting strangely today. And I wondered if any other had experienced this?
They have been flying/landing/ walking on the Bamboo leaves in the garden (we have lots of bamboo). I suspected poisoning of some sort but can't see any dead bees in/near the hive and did an inspection an all seems ok in the hive. The behaviour patterns don't seem right though and they seem slightly erratic...
Any ideas would be most welcome...
Thanks
Paul

Bamboo exudes sugar and we have masses of wasps, hoverflies etc on ours, especially in Spring. I have not seen bees on it yet but if there is a dirth of nectar in your area that may be the reason they are interested in it now but not when better sources of nectar are available.
