Have I caught a swarm

Interesting. Does anyone else successfully use bait hives with a full set of frames+foundation (and some old comb)?

Depends how many you are setting up i put 1 up at all sites and some friends it would get rather expensive to fully furnish them. I simply use old frames destined for the melter and leave a 2” strip of the old comb. If your watching the you tube films some of these guys are placing out loads it would cost them 100s. Whilst bees will occupy many locations/structures and volumes if you are that keen stick with the standard advice to up your chances.
