Where can I buy an eke for my smith poly nuc cheers aidy

Why not make one/several? Proceed to B&Q to choose from their wide variety of strip wood and make ekes of different thicknesses.

Its a poly one I want if possfor my poly nuc cheers

Buy another and cut it? Buy from your supplier (after all, they should know if or what is available!).

I did that for my Paynes Polys it works well. Ran a National deep through the table saw & got several suitable ekes. A hand saw works just as well

Paynes poly eke £10 (with detailing to secure the roof, and to the nuc box)
Paynes poly nuc £30 … seems a waste to make something that won't sit securely on the nuc box and won't take the roof properly either.

I think he cut a national deep, not a nuc.

From the same place you got your poly nuc. If they make them. Problem is poly nucs are not very standardised, so thickness, outer dimensions and any lips or ledges are different. If the original maker doesn't offer a nuc the realistic option is custom made. A hot wire slice of another nuc box is one option.

We make our ekes out of 40mm celotex, glued, joined and taped at the corners and edges so as not to loose all our good poly box insulation properties.

Obviousley if I new where the nuc came from I would contact them but I don't hence the question :thanks: aidy

Equally, clearly there is a very limited number of manufacturers, so it should not be so difficult to carry out a little research to find the culprit.
