    Hi Eric yes the cell was made after the frame of brood. I haven't seen any new eggs as of yet. The cell has larvae in it.

    Thanks that's very helpful. I was just worried they would struggle to build up well enough for winter if I let them make there own queen.

    Hello all I have a swarm i suspected they were queenless. I added a frame of brood from another hive. They have built a queen cell on another frame does this mean they are queenless stil. Also if they are queenless can I knock of the queen cell and introduce a mated queen or leave them to it...

    Hello yes I've had it about a week and half.Inspected it last week. Thanks for the advice I will try and get some eggs as soon as possible. I only took the swarm because it had no where else to go did it as a bit of a rescue.

    Hi all. I am picking up a nucleus in a couple of days. Where I am picking it up from is less than 3 miles away. Any tips or methods on reorientating the bees. Also if you put a branch or something Infront how long do you leave it there. Thanks Andrew
