Why don't birds eat dead bees? My colonies are set up and a concrete floor so I get a good idea of the numbers of bees that die/give out from month to month - I would have thought this would be a sort of bird table..but birds go nowhere near em

I was inspecting on of my double brood colonies this morning and all of a sudden there was a might roar...it continued for the 20 minutes or so that I was inspecting. I found a few queen cells that I knocked down but took one for a nuc...adding brood, pollen, stores and bees...as I walked away...

I found a line of wax moth in one frame today - it was about 2 to 3 inches long I tapped in and one larva fell out - my instinct was to dig the rest of it out, which I did...do I need to do more (suspect I do)??
