Hi PH No draining on anything? What is the shelf life approx once boxed? Will the "freezing" increase the moisture content and could this cause a problem at a later date, many thanks for all replies

Hi all Never done any cut comb, was waiting on the boxes to arrive! Is the freezer just if you are storing it or should you freeze defrost, cut and box? Or do you always have to do 24hrs freeze due to possible wax moth? Do you need to "drain" the cut piece of comb 1st before boxing and if so...

R & J, did you check any of the two years honey with a refractometer, to check water content as a %?

omg! Bcbee, I so get them, regardless of what the others say:willy_nilly: and I have had less than 10 actual stings in my 4 years of bee keeping. oh just to add only when i am working on the hive and not reading a book about bees!

Do we really need to heat it at all? Do you/should you heat if you know from experience that your "honey" sets quickly. I know it all depends on what nectar the bees have been gathering and from the tv programme tonight ( that would be last night as I am still jarring up my 1st little harvest...
