Yes had interest back in April as well which died away to assumes that swarm prevention was in place.

yes have got some lemon grass/rose oil swarm lure. There were a lot of bees at it again today.

Meant to say - the bait hive has been out since mid April haven’t added anything into it since then

yes they could be pinching the wax. Have got a frame of old brood comb and the rest are empty

That’s them back that’s them back again today in large numbers. Will keep an eye on it

Thanks - yes took a quick look and no swarm. Just a lot of scout bees. Weather looks a bit ropey for the next few days so not sure what will happen

yes the weather has been against me. I did a quick inspection on Thursday but it was 9 degrees! Not sure what is going on with the two groups. I am suspecting a failed swarm

it was very warm in the apiary yesterday. Warmest day for a while!

The bees on the outside of the hive look like they have all gone back into the hive. New queen from a supercedure cell back from a mating flight and undershot?

Checked them a couple weeks prior.

No the queen isn’t clipped. I don’t believe they have already swarmed. As you say the queen may have crawled to the bottom of the box
