    that is such a good idea - guess I am using a mates extractor at his place so generally in a bit of a rush but be worth the small extra time cost will get another set of sieves for sure !

    clogged double filter actually the honey warms nicely in the oven at 40 degrees but the bottleneck seems to be the filter which is also getting clogged. so now got that in the 2nd posh oven to keep it warm and decanting to a smaller pan and a using a spoon to scrap the filters to let them flow...

    next question ... lid on or lid off ? (worried now about water vapour getting in the honey ?) guess 40 degree heat will mean more water vapour no ?

    we have a new big posh electric oven that can 'keep warm' at say 40 degrees could i use that to warm up 10litre plastic buckets of honey ? (instead of old fridge/tube/st1000 thingy)

    removed the apivar sheets from the hives - bees were pretty cool and its was done quickly noted a few slugs enjoying the warmth ... ready for an additional vape at xmas just as I have the kit

    ah so one of these then https://www.amazon.co.uk/Elitech-Temperature-Controller-Thermostat-Centigrade/dp/B07KP5MJM9 and the mains lead.....does that snuggle through the fridge door then so its not a big break in the seal ? any pictures of how you guys do it ?

    Which heat pad for my warming cabinet?

    @millet .. so I have a dead fridge and invested in a couple of these tubes ... so when it gets too hot they cut off happens and so you don't ruin the honey is that right ? or do I need to have some thermal measure thingy to go with it all ?

    any farmers or bee keepers with farming background with any tips ? we have an apiary on a 200 acre farm that is run by a faith charity that I am a member of so have a bit of say in what they might plant for next year. any farmers on here that could give a bit of guidance on planting for bees ...
