    Choice of hive

    I use national predominantly standard deep double brood and shallow but as 14x12 is popular hobbyist around here I run some for nuc sales, as the boxes die I will not replace them, I am using pxxxxs poly on cost and better wintering, they also transport well on dedicated pallets

    We had the Wiltshire Honey show Saturday and the judge did open judging of some classes in front of the audience, he said the chunk should stand upright and the trick is to have the lid hold it in place as its tightened, he is a NHS senior judge.

    Feeding large numbers of hives

    I have a sixty gallon tank with pump and hose, makes it quicker. I can reverse the pump to fill the tank and yes syrup not Ambrosia, syrup has HM,s thymol added as feeders filled.
