Last 7 colonies OA'd on my new allotment site today, 4 colonies from nukes last year and three overwintering nukes from late queen rearing splits. Fondant for three colonies and all the nukes. Seem to be thriving.

Well I certainly will not be doing OA until at least three weeks after the first proper cold weather down here in Cornwall, which was about the 7th December. Advising people to do it after just a week since the first frost is maybe a bit "personal choice" . The brood cycle is 21 days......... (...

I'd agree but get 3x2 tannalised if its slightly cheaper and have them 6ft long for ease of manipulation ( 1 hive each end and room for another complete hive, lid with supers, or even two nukes, in between).

10/10 O90 , its a 14x12 side bar (has a groove on the other side), just been machined in reverse with the top and bottom wrong way round. It did cause me to doubt my sanity briefly as it was the only one in a batch of 200 that came like that and I was mindlessly assembling frames when it popped...

So what do I need to finish assembling this frame?
