    Just done a 24hr check - no larva left in cells - did another graft feeling calmer and less clumsy - so lets see how we go - if no luck by weekend then might pop a Frame off eggs in.

    This season I plan on treating on time! normally slips into September….. so going to grab any late supers late July > 1st week August in preparation for Mite treatment. so probably last few seasons I have used, Api Life Var, with good initial mite drop, but with my late starts I feel I miss out...

    Quick check on a swarm I housed 14 days ago… found & marked Queen, laying nicely capped brood present, best get another hive ready as looks like might out gro NUC quickly.

    Bait hive in the Lucky spot did it again.... 4th time this year - warm sunny corner of the garden. Quick inspection on the bumper hive, supers still not capped added another for insurance as I will be away for a week, and it finally RAINED !!!

    quick inspection - new colonies laying nicely, checked my hive that has supers on but not capped yet so contemplating leaving the supers on until week after next as that will be next chance to Harvest. mostly looked at the sky and hoped for a little rain, bramble just coming into flower now...

    thanks for the info so far. feel better about the Konigan after your info... looking at dimensions am I missing something? 12 frame & 20 fram are same size? just thinking about storage & Door issue!

    That’s it…. Time to get rid of the manual extractor and go electric… I think 12 frame is a good balance of storage size and efficiency for me, run about 6-8 hives, and no time for more! I like the look of the Konigan apart from all of the reports of sharp edges, max budget £1200 Any other...

    Our solicitor is stumbling with the fact that the panels were installed pre needing planning - the house is known to us as we are buying from family, so don't have issues with any work done but it's slowing down the whole process.
