Doesn’t the same apply anyway if you reduce the exit to single bee width to prevent robbing? I thought the main problem with hornets was hawking - at least in the initial stages.

Results from first OA vape on 5 Dec: Blue Hive drop of 11, Green Hive drop of 71. Second vape yesterday. Results (and possible third vape) due 15 Dec.

For interest/information, I have a pair of Maisemore national poly 14 x 12s (comprising: cedar stand, poly base, brood chamber and wood crown board). Each hive has lost approx 5Kg since 30 Oct. Too early to consider feeding yet...? [Hives weigh 39.5Kg and 36Kg respectively]

I used a 120W tube heater and disconnected the thermostat in order to get the max out of it, the thermistor on the digital thermostat turns it on/off.

Take the end off the wired end off the tube (when it is unconnected!) and disconnect the bimetallic strip. Tape up bare end of wire. Test. Reassemble

Ditto - knew it would be useful one day (despite SWMBO's attempts to "lose" it over the years). Have replaced the filter as long out of date.

I live in rural Wiltshire, surrounded by farmland. None of our 3 closest neighbors (all farmers) had ever heard of "Beeconnected". That said, they are all hugely supportive of my efforts and let me know what, when and where they will be spraying - verbally.
