    Agricultural occupancy...

Some very informative posts here. Not sure if I need to recork the red wine but is there two different threads. 1. Land has an agricultural tie to useage. 2. A dwelling has an agricultural tie to person living there's income/earning from land. I assume therefore that land could have a house...

What did you do in the Apiary today?

16 degrees here and feels warm. Many bees out flying. Orange, yellow and white pollen being collected but mainly orange. Put more fondant on one hive other has still not even touched original from Boxing day. I had seen no bees from this hive since late November and feared the worse that it...

    Roof Depth?

What if using OMF?? I thought roof ventillation and/or "matchstick" trick with OMF could allegedly cause undesirable through-draught. Or does that not apply if solid CrownBoard, (no holes) is used?

    2 apiaries better than 1??

I knew it, someone would say three and I so nearly posted to the effect but was blinded by level of concurrence for 2 better than 1..... I take it all back, (except the bees, hives, wood, equipment, clothing and sundry before she finds out...)

    outside bee feed boxes

Welcome to the Forum. I am a relative newcommer myself but am positive you will ultimately be inviting attention from unwanted visitors such as wasps who will plague you and your hives, unless you have a cunning plan to convert feeders to deadly wasp traps!!! If that is the case and they work...

    Honey Buckets.

Agree with PH. Local bakery will have used food grade tubs and a supply of fondant. Buy Fondant, bargain for tubs!!!

    Winter weather in UK

Snow what snow. Our southern softie crews still tucked up in bed asleep as no snow at all here on the island and cannot see any across water to Bournmouth & Southampton. Spent all weekend enlarging out apiary groundworks ready for this years expansion plans, (hopefully).
