iceing sugar dickndorris, I had this year about the same time ,sprinkle a cup full of iceing sugar over the frames in the b/b.this will encourage the bees to clean them selfs I found it works .Its a natural cleaning method ..:sifone:

feeding bags of sugar just dunk the bags of sugar in hot water for 30 seconds then put straight onto frames over the nest then add super or eke add insulation I use old sacks then crown board then roof sorted ,if stores are iffy :sifone:

stores/space hello , I use single BB on my commercials over winter as long as the frames are nearly full all should be fine ,I never use fondant if I do have emergancy over winter months I use bags of cane sugar using the hot water method !!:sifone:

dead bees in wooden feeders headnavigator, I found this to be a comman problem when using these feeders,but I found putting tuffs of grass in with the syrup mix does give the bee a better footing,hope this helps..:sifone:

Hi ZZ, I had this problem earlier this year ,after you have used your varroa control treatment ,try this ,a cup full of iceing sugar poured over the top of the frames .the bees will clean each other then wait. then use as often as required .i use this method as a cleaning for the hive using NO...

bees into supers hi, having had this problem , the bees are reluctant to go up into the super frames with new foundation.the way it worked for me is just add a couple of frames of new foundation then as they draw these frames add a couple more but keeping the non-drawn over the brood nest and...
