    Hi i will be over wintering on a national double brood box and thinking of leaving a super of stores . I beleive you leave the super of stores under the double brood but can someone correct me if i am wrong ? Drew

It was 25 days since putting queen on new foundation with one frame of brood and was moving brood box that was on top of hive as the brood had hatched from it to bottom under broodbox with queen for double brood .     Anyone have a mated Queen for sale

    Hi was moving top brood box from top of supers to the bottom of hive under Queen brood box when Queen got out and was killed by bees from other hive . I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a mated Queen from . Drew

    I have been doing weekly inspections and knocking Queen cells down on top brood box and Queen in lower brood box is laying well as the workers draw the comb . They are on their second season . Ta Drew

    Hi all new to beekeeping and have some questions . I did a Demaree 22 days ago and wondered if its ok to put the Q- broodbox from top to bottom under Q+ broodbox and when is the brood to old for workers to make emergency queens from ? Ta Drew

    How viable is an allotment as a place to keep a hive?

    I have two hives on my allotment . I put the metal fence you put round building sites and covered it with scaffold netting so the bees fly above everyone's head . That was there rules along side having insurance . Drew
