Im toying with the idea of putting a colony into an acrylic dome, so that I can watch them build natural comb. It will need hiving for winter though and I need to work out how to do that!!

Used to work in a school teaching science and technology, the kids used to make them if any acrylic needed bending.
Nichrome wire and a car battery makes a simple one.
It is an acrylic sheet heater. Works by putting the sheet over a heated slot. you can then bend to whatever angle you want.
Also made menu holders for restaurant tables, book display stands, models etc. Very versatile and easy to use.
