    there are two 3kw heaters built into the sink. It is an old school pan washing sink. I set them at 85 degrees to melt the wax and the soda dissolves the propolis.     I do exactly the same just have to remember to use the same hole cutter or else its jigsaw time.

    Yep, it's on the to do list, they are holes to allow access to rapid feeders, and should have plugs in them when not in use....well spotted.

    Ive done the same, for the same reason. Cedar-cellotex-aluminium coated plastic sandwich. insulated roof, mesh floor that I can insulate, various entrances and dividers and queen excluders. I can add honey supas if needed. They take 30 national brood frames.

    Steamed, then soda boiled 500 frames this morning, steamed my glasses up!!

    Jarred heather honey today.....200lbs from 4 hives in three weeks. I wish that I had taken more up there.

    What about ultrabee paties, full of corn starch and palm oil? I once stated from experience that my bees would rather starve than eat it. You told me that your bees loved it!!

    Loads of pollen though, and queen still laying. Still no drones produced.

    Had to feed the observation hive today...stores used up and no nectar coming in!! A good barometer for the rest of the colonies.

    Try using a hot air gun for up capping. Saves a lot of mess.

    I have two types, push together and folding. I prefer the folding. I buy seconds frame packs and make them up from these. crosscut saw is handy.
