    think what has happened is you tried to load too big a file, load the photo file into Microsoft paint or similar and reduce the size to 50% or even 25% and sav as jpg and different file name then try reloading

    what do you mean by london?....central london, yes too many hives , outer london within M25 has lot of hives but many of us average 120lbs plus per production hive and it is a relatively neonicotinoid free area

    you need to keep the gas cartridge up right otherwise the propane in the caertridge flood the torch and the flame goes out, but with practice they work well

    i have four over winter nucs on 3x14x12 frames.......Three are like little pussy cats, docile. lovley bees and one Nuc are bees from hell. putting fondant on ends up it all out war....all queens rom the same batch of grafts and mated in same area

    They collect honeydew with all its complex sugars and ling heather honey, both are not very good for them and cause dysentery and other problems over winter

    only problem is a few knots and if the knots are in the lugs they are unusable, i would say 93% acceptable 5% just passable and 2% bl7^dy awfull so buy 550 and you will have 500 acceptable

    yours is more readable though :hairpull: The most qualified beekeeper in our Area Association (county) who has tried to become a Master Beekeeper but failed the AHA twice, is adamant that ivy honey is terrible and that bees die because they cannot break open the cappings, That Beekeepers...

    the only reference i can find is in this screen dump, it must be the beecraft editorial team in reply to "its too hard to feed back" however i have come across quite a lot of beekepers who hold this view as their bees die with ivy stores intact but perhaps just an excuse for bad winter...

    My cousin uses smith hives & frames and they are also top bees space not bottom bee space, thornes do smith frames, get a pack of 50 SN4 2nd for £27 in their winter sales and mix and match with your national brood side bars

    water,,,,they vibrate their muscle to bring them up to flight temperature and if necessasry to temps even higher They then make dash to collect water to dilute their honey 50/50 only problem is cold water in their crop can chilled them down below flight temperature and they don't make it home

    i have the similar silicon moulds, and wire my frames not the wax but a bit of ply with 7 nails (5 for loops and 2 terminal),loop the wire around the nails then place the cut sheet on the wires + 12volts and it is wired wax....leave it too lond and you have wire and 7 triangles of wax

    yes it is the 14x12 bl&&dy awful isn't it, even darker with the packing off, and it is premium wax not the standard range It came with a a "everything you need hive pack" bought as a birthday prsent and the person doese not want to be a beekeeper so did not use but wax is only 6mth old
