The key factor is that Radio Derby, due to the pressure, quickly appreciated that they were in the wrong, did their best to put things right equally quickly and arranged the new interview within today’s busy schedule. I E-mailed them to express this.
The second key factor is, that I am sure...

I am sure that the beekeeper going on the programme knows why he is there.
It was Spacey's barage that caused the mass of complaints about blaming local beekeepers for the problems. Hopefully Radio Derby are trying to put this right.
We will find out shortly.
The Live session on the Alena Naylor Show is definately on this morning. The Radio Derby web page schedule says:
An alternative view from a Derbyshire beekeeper on claims a decline in bee numbers could mean spiralling grocery costs for us all.
To confirm the show is today starting at 10:00 on...
Just found out that their will probably be a live session with a real beekeeper going out on air on Radio Derby tomorrow morning at around 10:45 am.
If this is the case will post a link when it is on the iPlayer.
Totally agree.
I am sure that Radio Derby will come discover, in no uncertain terms, in the new interview that we are not happy with their misleading ideas that he (Mr Spacey) is connected with local beekeeping and that the DBKA is the best contact with beekeeping matters.
Radio Derby have now arranged an interview with a real beekeeper tomorrow, to balance things out.
Thanks to the pressure on Radio Derby, they have done the right thing and in the end a lot of good could come out of it.
It seems he has been attacking amateur beekeepers for years:

Why did Radio Derby let him get away with it again, without a balancing point of view on the same programme?
At least...

Dear Andy,
Thanks for your email. I’ve now had a chance to listen back to the interview in question (and the later piece with the bee keepers you mention) and spoken to the producer of the Mid-Morning programme. As you know, we did...
That is the beauty of this forum, you get many points of view, some that you may not like. That is all part of freedom of speech.
This was a pre-recorded session. Radio Derby knew what was going out in advance. Therefore they could and should have included the alternative point of view in the...
Totally agree Monsieur Abeille, Mr Spacey is perfectly entitled to express his point of view.
However, public broadcasting agencies have a duty to produce more balanced programmes with an alternative view being expressed in the same programme.
The afternoon piece gives a much more balanced view point. More quietly spoken person, much less bombastic and the facts most certainly were not twisted.
However, damage may have been done in the morning session which needs to be repaired by Radio Derby. (I.E. differences in the AM & PM...
Interestingly a normal beekeeper was on radio Derby in the afternoon following the mornings rubbish.
Its a bit more interesting listening.

I hope that as many people as possible respond to the inaccurate material and message given out on this programme.

I wouldn't recommend complaining. All journalists love an argument - it gives them something extra to report on - they have no interest in...

Here is an example of a joke from another past issue:

oilseed rape. He pulls over to the side...
