Can somebody please recommend a good recipe for Damson & Honey jam. I would like to replace sugar with the honey and/or add honey once at set point. Looking to enter the association honey show classes this year. I have loads of Damsons picked and ready to go.

I have a laying worker hive that has some capped drone brood but mainly multiple eggs in the cells. I plan to shake them out The frames are good condition. What are my options please to reuse the frames? Do I need to do anything to them before adding to other colonies or nucs?

I'm a bit of novice still on queen rearing but find that if I have my 3 frame nucs hopelessly queenless then I just run my virgins in the entrance. Have had very good results doing it this way

I checked all my 20 hives and nucs yesterday here in south lincs in the sunshine and was thinking exactly the same. Most only on 4 frames of brood. A couple were on 6 frames. The OSR is starting to yellow up here so what would people do, let them put what they collect into the brood box?

Pink fur apple are in my opinion the best tasting you can get. Great hot or cold and store well

Ive gone down a little easier route. Ive got a load of 3rds brood boxes from the sale days. Cut a little bit less than 1/2 and added 18mm offcut sides from local timber merchant. Going to make seperate floors so can use boxes as nucs or double nucs. Very cheap and quick way

Once you found a good spot PH, how do you find out who owns the land or spot? I live in very rural Lincolnshire and have seen some good out the way spots one near a whole load of lime trees and brambles but no idea who the farmer is.

What paint did you use please? And how did you seal the edges?
