    Fasten some pushchair wheel to the back of your chicken coup that way you can wheel them around..i made a load for more lady friend a few years back and they worked a treat as she was not strong enough to lift them to move them..

    When i'm wanting to warm honey up quickly for clearing purposes which requires 1hr at 65C i wire the electric paint stripper up to st-1000..it has to be aimed at a sheet of plaster board so it does not burn the inside of the fridge..it hits the required temperature very quickly..the tube heaters...

    It will not cause any problems at this time of the year especially with the current vile weather we are getting..i have a strong colony in a garden on the north east coast that has not been flying for over a fortnight so three days is nothing..;)

    I have read more than i have ever read before in my life about bees and the swarming impulse takes some beating with mongrel x bees..F1 or F2 bees are controllable..but mongrels lol.. let them get on with it..as 50% of the time you are also wasting your time..every year i get swarm fever around...

    Just soaked half of a bog roll in rain water and rapped the outside with cling film..true story:rolleyes:

    Only six:D ..personally i would just shut the door and move them with a swing of ones hips and spine..painful that it may be..

    Would it not have been easier just to drawing pin a bit of OMF over the entrances for a couple of hours..them tree surgeons are fairly quick...;)

    I have a couple of hives 4ft away from a tall hedge roughly 8ft high..the bees come out and spiral up into the air very quickly with no problems and the same when they are going back in..three sides of the hives are covered by this hedge and even though i have a 4ft mesh gate beside the hives...

    Some folk go over board and read until it wastes there life.. i know to treat for Varroa..and it is very simple as you know..and it does not waste my life trying to find a alternative treatment..
