Has anyone put dye in the syrup to see where it is stored and how long it takes to be eaten? If so, what colour and did it have any effect on the bees?

I also asked how it cleaned my hive - and didn’t get an answer either.

As it seems to be popular topic in the press, and on here from the comments, why wouldn’t he be asked to give a talk about them? Other people are awarded the privilege, and they don’t have the same interest around their ‘research’

I thought for a minute these were poly hives, but then you said one side. So about the same weight as mine

But hives don’t (usually) swarm without having mature drones in the colony, even though they won’t be mating with their own new queen.

I’ve probably used the cheap ones....:laughing-smiley-014 and they definitely leak!

But don’t buy the blue ones, the die leaks into the wax. I’ve always found the yellow ones to be the best.....
