    Yes it’s been a bad season in the late summer with lack of nectar and lots of wet days. The stored honey has mostly been consumed I’m treating and feeding now. At least I missed out on the swarming problems

    Well the exam experience wasn’t painful and preparing for it forced me to get to know a bit about the diseases which I was very weak on. The examiner was lovely. It was a teaching experience.     wbc parts check (do i need anything else)

    I started with a cedar wbc, but have now moved entirely to nationals. They are simpler to access , hold more frames and are cheaper to buy. I run with brood and a half. A full brood box is heavy so I keep it on the bottom and have the super on top. Definitely go a course and join your local...

    Well, I was going to do Snelgrove 2 modified to my hives as I’m too short to do Demarees. Don’t know what I’m going to do now. I was convinced Wally was the guy to listen to and as a 3rd year bee keeper I hoped to be on the ball and know what to do in advance this year.
