I had this earlier in the year. Im not telling you what to do as a beginner myself, just what i did. I knocked them all back ( i also had 2 cups one charged cell) and had no more problems. Good luck.

This thread is close to helping me answer a question. When recombining AS back into an original hive thats on double brood, what do you do with the spare brood box with frames of partial uncapped honey and pollen. Is freezing the only way to not waste their work?

I may be wrong but i assumed the OP had opened up some space between frames plus some taken out for a good photo of his problem.

Life(especially beekeeping) is all about timing. Well caught!! Impressive crop so far, well done.

I left a vq six weeks to get going with no results so had to buy one in theyre doing well now but it depleted my numbers in that hive waiting and have had to take frames of bias from other hives to support them. Such a shame as she was a lovely large queen.

Congrats and welcome. Get ready for a ride of highs and lows. Just when you are chuffed you did something right the bees will show you whose actually in charge. Ive got some hives i split as AS earlier in the year. Could you advise on when to unite them back. As these AS raised their own queens im still watching them getting going with brood and pattern and am unsure when or if theyre slowing down. I realize we are still in july with more forage...

Ive got light hives here also and live in a part of england that has better than average weather. Popping some 1:1 syrup on to help them draw out comb surely wont hurt. They wont take it if they dont need it.
