    Only once did I have to double brood a 14x12. Suitable size for a prolific bee like Buckfast i run 10 frame poly and wood BBs and don’t see any difference between them join a BKA they might have nucs for sale next year

    open feeding is not considered the right way of doing things The mash you have left should be by now mostly wax which can be processed

    Orientation flights are a better indicator but you would have surely been in to have a look by then

    nearly every time I've been beekeeping I'll wash my suit, its looking pitiful at the moment, had two zips replaced and a hole in the vail repaired, not bad for a ten year old suit, might invest in a new one next year

    Wash all equipment and storage containers thoroughly before beginning. keep a bowl of clean water and kitchen towels at hand check water content before extraction keep pets and humans out of your extraction area until you have finished Use plastic sheets of polyethene trays to store your supers
