    Which budget wood hive

It is mostly down to momentum/inertia. "That's what everyone uses so I will too". If you want a cheap, easily-constructed hive system, consider the Rose Hive. Same footprint as BS National, so uses the same stands, floors, crown boards and roofs. Frames and foundation available from Thornes.

    Sale/Quality of foundation

It is not a good idea to use all foundationless frames in a box at the same time. They should be placed alternately with drawn frames (or foundation if you are just starting out and don't have any), otherwise the bees will get creative with the comb!

    Sale/Quality of foundation

    1. It is cheaper! 2. The bees can draw whatever comb they want. 3. Honey price

I sell some of my honey at a local museum gift shop. I supply it sale-or-return, so there is no risk for them and I charge them the same price as I sell it (£7.50/454g).

    Soda / bicarb

Washing Soda is Sodium Carbonate. N.B. Do not confuse with Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda), Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda), Soda Pop (Coca Cola) or Soda Bread!

    Clicking

Not a silly question. There are several strange noises that come from hives. I don't know the answer.

    Preferred fuel for smoker

I think the best fuel is anything that is handy. My apiary has a large oak tree in it which drops rotten twigs continuously. That is what I use. There are dozens (hundreds?) of other options

    Kingspan Insulation in Eke

Yes you are, and you often do defend this particular individual. The problem is you only step in when someone actually stands up to the usual suspects and gives some back. Then everyone gets deleted, not just the original antagonist.

    Fermented Honey

There are plenty on eBay. Just make sure you get the correct type - one intended for honey (not wine) with a %water scale 12-27%. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164811434269?hash=item265f86e91d:g:~N0AAOSwwYldR~v1
