If you look ar the likely amount of residual "treated" stores, take into account the length of time elapsed, and the dilution, I suspect it's a non-problem to be under the allowed residual levels of amitraz (as metabolites) at 0.2mg per kilogram.
This is of interest.

Though if left on over winter with little other stores it would only be the equivalent to some stores remaining in a treated brood box which could then get moved up as the brood nest expands.
Though it may not fulfil the precise letter of the instructions I'm not sure there is a real problem...
I suspect you could find the world's most emminent endocrinologist with an interest in insect venoms and the answer would still be "perhaps".
If you then asked if beestings could reduce IBS symptoms the answer would probably also be "perhaps".
Agreed. I think a lot of these labels are simply companies trying to shed liabilities - they could start putting "produced on a continent that also produces nuts".
On a side-matter peanuts aren't tree nuts.
Many would argue that a national brood box with plenty of stores should be enough to overwinter on, so one plan would be to remove the super(s) entirely and so not need a QE at all.
Another option is to put a super with stores in it under the brood box in the autumn. In spring the queen and...
I can't see a reasonably feasible mechanism of contamination in my setup in my kitchen.
Lots of people have pollen allergy (hayfever) but I've never seen a warning "caution may contain pollen"!
This one is interesting as it's a peristaltic pump so no honey would be in a part you couldn't see - good for cleanup.
No details on fill rate though.
Honey Bottle Filling Machine, Viscous Liquid Filling Machine, Bottle Filling Weighing Filling Machine for Sesame Paste, Paste Filling Machine...
Very tempting!
I'd be interested in hearing how quickly the 1st one pumps.
Edit; I see max rate of 3.2l/minute for water, which would be about 5 seconds to fill a 340g jar. I expect honey will be quite a bit slower, though better if warm.
Hi, I've just got a new phone as the one I'm writing this on now refuses to recognise a SIM card.
How do I get the "app" on the new phone?
I managed to port most things to the new one but not the forum app!
I remember our chemistry lab, the sinks drained into channels in the floor covered with a floorboard flush with the floor, linking each sink.
On one occasion I was washing a compound I had made with acetone down the sink (as were the other pupils), once I'd finished I "accidentally" dropped a...
