    All going well I will have my first hive going in the next 2-3 weeks. Is there any issue facing the entrance northwards? My chosen location will get midday sun all year but facing the entrance north would save the garden from the flight path of the bees as they return home.

    Thank you guys, I am across the water in Ireland so similar climate and winters to UK. I will use the Dummy boards as they will be straight into the brood box from the supplier, and feed each evening. Should I fill the remaining gap with insulation or just leave it hollow?
