    OSR flow - when does it begin?

    is it definately from OSR? Not doubting you but yesterday i learned that theres a chance we may not get a proper flow from osr as its got to be at least 20 degrees for this to happen you have now given me hope

    Thymol in syrup

    as hivemaker said, no!! reason being is bees at this time of year will be hopefully bringing nectar in to make honey. Adding thymol to syrup which bees are feeding on will cause the honey and empty frames to become tainted with thymol. not good, the stuff stinks!!

    i would hazzard a guess and say that most that will be because of bees, larvea and pollen what the temps been like around your way

    I wouldnt hold out too much mate, this weather is stopping the nectar from rising within the rape, so unless we get temps of 20 degrees withing the 3 or 4 week total flowering period, we wont get any honey!! we will still get pollen though
