    Istrumental insemination, etc.

It was a long time ago, but I don't think it was ozone. We rarely used it, and then only on stuff that couldn't take the steam process.

    Istrumental insemination, etc.

I worked in the local hospital a few years back. I autoclaved the surgical instruments with both steam and gas. The instruments were only double wrapped in paper and a cloth sheet. The expiry date was 12 months but could, in theory, be sterile for many years if left unopened.

    Should I Be Concerned (Mould)

Personally I would have left that to next year. The foundation probably won't be drawn out now, even though my bees were building comb not so long back and there is a risk you may damage the queens, which is never a good idea this time of year. But they are your bees and you do as you see fit.

Cheers Martin Experience yes Knowledge no Over the years I've done just about everything once. Apart from AI. I'd love to try that next sometime. I believe in stock improvement but I have to rely on others to archive it.

    Pile of dead bees

I don't think its crop spraying. If its some form of disease or virus then opening up and treating is probably going to do more harm than good this time of year. Best leave alone, make sure they have plenty of stores and inspect early next year with a tonic feed to encourage brood rearing. Then...

    Best idea?

Looks like they have enough feed for the moment. If you intend to dribble OA later in the winter, wait till then and insert the crown board. Assess then whether they need any more stores and add fondant/pollen.
