hive in a garden and BBQ parties

I feel like I've been in to the headmasters office here and given I right good telling off :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: , I did write earlier that there does seem more negatives than positives to placing hives in gardens. this thread was to try and get the general consensus, through the experiences of...

hive in a garden and BBQ parties

:ROFLMAO: and therein lies the biggest problem of all, maybe the bribing with free honey, and invite them to the barby for free food and beer. to be fair, there does seem to be a lot of barriers to placing a hive in the garden, few weeks to think about it.

in the hope that they will overwinter better in the nuc and perhaps survive in the smaller space, my thinking is less volume to keep the temperature efficient. if this the wrong thinking, then please enlighten, I am open to any advice.

    downsize to a nuc

hi, first question on here, I have two national hives; one is doing well although possibly not quite enough food for the winter so i have been feeding. my other hive is from a swarm early summer, it's doing ok although only 4 frames of brood and food, probably not much chance of surviving, but...

    Hi from the Peak District

good evening all, I am a new beekeeper and live in the High Peak national park. Some years ago, I helped an established beekeeper to set up an apiary in a garden area at the fire station I worked at. I had the intentions of him teaching me the ways, sadly I left the fire service and my...
