    New to your forum

    June was dry and cold this year on the west coast....actually been good for bees as its normally the wet that prevents them harvesting...what they were foraging on I have no idea. what species do you target out at sea?

    thank you, its nice to be on a forum again....they are addictive places and i have been known to loose many hours of slumber lost in a forum of some topic or other...normally saltwater aquariums, macro photography or beekeeping.

    I agree on all the points above, but the most telling component for us not to use what we called 'jumbo hives' (40 frames) was the fact that they tended to become 'meat hives' with very high brood production and a lot of splits. A zimbawean beekeeper by the name of Mick Schmolke had similar...

    ive always maintained that I am the definition of sanity, and others are insane by varying degrees depending on how much they differ from me....thats allowed for some pretty wild behavior being laughed off to the joy of simply doing wild things:)

    they do indeed, although if you are on the Guala, Orkla or Laedals you shouldnt be worrying about the bees:) The west coast, and parts of Northern Norway are far milder than where I am in Lillehammer which is inland off the gulf stream and bees manage the harsh winters here well.
