This is good fun for school kids and YFs might enjoy it too - you get the "victims" to enact an artificial swarm, with individuals taking the part of the queen, flying bees, house bees, drone, and queen cell. I've not done it myself but heard that it is good fun and vaguely educational!

Just to round this off.
Delivered my talk yesterday to around 25 10-16 year old Y.F.Cers.
Thank you for all the ideas, a waggle dance demonstration (not by me) and a hive assembly and bee suit dressing race went down well.
My faith in country based youth was restored as they listened carefully, asked great questions and seemed genuinely interested.
