I just got a hive from a chap with 2 supers on well i took some of the honey of and its like a pale yellow and is a bit runny i dont know if he has feed the bees or not, can anyone help

Was most of it capped when you extracted ?
If its runny it could be because the water content is to high,if thats the case it can be dried out with a dehumidifier in a small room with the honey in a bucket with a large surface area.

I would ask him if he had been feeding them with supers on? if they were uncapped did you shake the frame to see if any droplets came out ?

Last year i had some borage honey, this was a very pale yellow and not as thick as the honey i have extracted recently.

I got hold of a Refractometer, very useful if you want an accurate water content reading.

its now set but it dont seem right its yellow and white like a cream
